Art is an experience. Whether it’s at a gallery, a museum or in your own home. And art can be whatever sings to you! My collection of ceramic vases and vessels (thank you friends + family!) displayed in my window makes me so darn happy. Is it everyone’s cup of tea? Nope and that.is.OK. Just remember that art & design isn’t for a fancy photo shoot for all the world to see. It’s to tell your story, to your tribe…to come home to a collection of pieces that you love. The end.

Wallpaper! Such a fun and easy way to add some hype to your walls. We have a very long hallway (typical of mid-century California ranch houses) and I’ve always wanted to add a little somethin’ somethin’. This floral peel and stick wallpaper hit the mark as it is an ode to Australia (my husband is from Melbourne) with the beautiful protea flowers.

It felt like Summer today! And I was in a mood to do some “fluffing” 😀. So, armed with a few new items from HomeGoods and some things from my own stash + our garden, I came up with a simple centerpiece for our outdoor table. I love decorating with trays because they corral all the things and are easy to move when this table becomes a game table.

When we remodeled our ole California ranch nearly 10 years ago, we updated the primary bath to include a tub. I simply added an IKEA chandelier (swipe to see the before) and hung a standard print from HomeGoods (at the time it was all we could afford!). We lived like that for many years and it was just fine. But eventually, I decided to put some energy into the space because I knew how I wanted it to look, feel and function for us. With some elbow grease (a couple of weekends worth of sanding and staining) and a few new items, I’m just so happy with how it turned out. I’ll share the design process in stories. 🛁
